Biography
Olugbenga Adeleye is the CEO, Youth Crime Watch of Nigeria, an NGO in Special consultative status with UN ECOSOC. Adeleye founded Youth Crime Watch of Nigeria in the year 2002 having left his managerial position System Development Administrator at CHI Limited Ajanla Farms, a multinational company he worked with for close to a decade. He is also the Abuja Regional Manager of the Institute of Public Diplomacy & Management.
His work ranging from prevention education to ICT/Internet Training to young people, children, women and girls in the rural communities. He has facilitated series of workshops and seminars both at the local and regional levels. He is the convener of the first ever Africa Regional Youth Crime Prevention & Development Conference scheduled for Abuja, Nigeria (see www.secureafrica2012.org). He has served as Panel Discussant during Child Online Protection and Cybersecurity session facilitated by ITU and ECPAT Internet, Internet Governance Forum, Nairobi, 27-30 September 2011, Keynote speaker at the West Africa Regional Youth Crime Prevention Conference in Accra, Ghana in 2010 and several other national events on cybercrime, cybersecurity and Internet fraud focus conference. He has participated in the World Summit on Information Society Forum since 2003 till date and the Sessions of the United Nations Commission on Science and Technology for Development 2009 till date.
Adeleye is a committed young man whose interest is on changing lives and makes impacts in this generation. He has won several local and international awards includes Gold Medal Honours, Ondo State Football Competition (1995), International Casey Extra Mile Award by Youth Crime Watch of America 2004 – 2005; Rebrand Nigeria Youth Ambassador Award (2009), National Peace Academy Scholarship (2012).

He’s passionate about Nigeria and Africa as he has been involved in series of activities and projects within Nigeria, Africa and the world. He has coordinated, monitored and observed General and Bye-Elections in Nigeria since 1999 – 2012 with the use of social media and Internet Technology.
