Aziz Hilali is a Professor at the Moroccan Telecommunications Graduate Institution. He graduated from the University of Grenoble, where he earned a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science. He has published a large number of scientific papers and given a substantial number of oral presentations at international meetings.
Aziz Hilali is a member and former chair of North Africa IGF (NAIGF), he participated in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and the different Internet Governance Forum meetings as member of Multistakeholder Advisory Committee (MAG) during the period 2009-2013.
He has also served in ICANN as Chair of de The African Regional At-Large Organization (AFRALO) within ICANN during the period 2012-2016, as member of the 2018 and 2019 ICANN Nominating Committee. He is currently AFRALO Vice Chair.
Dr Hilali is also President of the Mediterranean Federation of Internet Associations (www.fmai.tn.org).and Vice Chair and Founding Member of the ISOC Morocco (www.misoc.ma).
Mr. Aziz Hilali is married with three children.
