Ms. Cavalli is a senior advisor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Argentina since 2002.
She is the Argentina GAC representative in ICANN (since 2006) and was the Argentina representative in the WSIS in Tunis (2005).
She was Member of the Special Commission appointed by the Government of Argentina for the Cybercrime Law and a Leading member of the commission that developed the National Digital Agenda of Argentina.
Ms. Cavalli is also engaged with capacity building activities that enhance the knowledge and the participation of the Latin American Region in the Internet Governance process. In 2006 she proposed the creation of the "Internet Governance Working Group" in the Latin America Regional Information Society Plan of Action eLAC, with coordination of the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America ECLAC.
Ms. Cavalli has been a panelist in all the six Regional IGFs. She is also frequently invited as panelist in seminars related to Internet and Internet Governance in Latin America and worldwide.
Since year 2000, Ms. Cavalli is a teacher at University of Buenos Aires. Since 2007 she is also the Academic Director of the South School on Internet Governance www.gobernanzainternet.org
Ms. Cavalli is also involved in gender balance activities; she created the Commission "Women engineers for development" in the National Center of Engineers of Argentina, which is focused in promoting the engineering career among young girls in Latin America. This activity was recognized by ISOC in the World Woman’s day in 2012. http://www.internetsociety.org/gamechanger
Ms. Cavalli is PHD in Business Direction, MBA, Master in Telecom Regulations and Electronic and Electric Engineer. She is fluent in Spanish, English, German and Portuguese.
