Since 2002, Ms. Dryden has worked for the Department and is the senior advisor of Internet governance at the Canadian Federal Ministry of Industry. In this role, Ms. Dryden coordinates and develops Canadian government positions and policy, and represents Canada on the Governmental Advisory Committee (GAC) of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). She serves in an ex-officio capacity on the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) Board of Directors. CIRA is the operator of Canada’s “dot-ca” country code top level domain. Ms. Dryden also participated in the Canadian delegation to the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and its related preparatory negotiations.
Prior to working in the Telecoms Policy Branch, Ms. Dryden assisted with the delivery of programs to improve ICT access and skills for Canadian schools. She has an educational background in International Politics and Russian Studies.
