Myriam A. Said

Myriam is currently at the Office of the Prime Minister advising on efforts in transitioning Ethiopia to a Digital Economy

Previously she was the Director of the National Digital Transformation Program at the Ministry of Innovation and Technology where she led the development of “Digital Ethiopia 2025”; an Inclusive National Digital Transformation Strategy.

Before she joined government, Myriam spent over 15 years in the private sector. She started in a leading ICT System Integration Company implementing National IT Infrastructure projects and was then the co-founder of a Digital Financial Service Provider that built several digital platforms to enable payments and bring efficiency on how people transact.

Myriam diverse background in the Digital space has given her a unique and balanced perspective on the challenges and opportunities faced by developing countries like Ethiopia aspiring to transition to a Digital Economy. She has strong skills in strategy, policy, program execution, team building, planning, and private sector investment and business management 

Myriam was born in Addis Abeba from an Ethiopian father and a French mother; she holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Physics and a Masters in Theoretical Physics.
