Jimson Olufuye has more than 30 years of experience in the national, regional, and global digital ecosystem. He is the Principal Consultant at Kontemporary Konsulting Ltd.

He is the Founder and 1st Chair of the concerned private sector-led and over 40-nation strong Africa ICT Alliance – AfICTA (2012-2016). He is currently the Chair of the Advisory Council of AfICTA. He was one of the five (5) business representatives in the United Nations Commission for Science and Technology for Development Working Groups on Improvements to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) (2011-2012), and on Enhanced Cooperation on public policy matters pertaining to the Internet (2014-2018). He was also a member of the UN Secretary-General’s IGF Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group (2012-2013).

Formerly the President of the Information Technology (Industry) Association of Nigeria (2007-2011), he was the Vice-Chair of the World Innovation Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) (2010-2012). He was also the Chair, Finance and Operations of the ICANN Business Constituency (2014-2020).

He was a member of the Netmundial+10 Steering Committee 2024 and leader of the AfICTA delegation to the UN Summit of the Future 2024. He is a consultant to the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) on Cybersecurity. He is the architect of the new Tripod Cybersecurity Maturity Model, TCMM.africa.

He was also until 2012 the Chair of the National IT Public-Private Forum – a peer review and development forum of IT administrators and CEOs in the Public and Private sectors in Nigeria. He was a council member of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and the Computer Professionals’ (Registration Council) of Nigeria (CPN). He has authored many software on process control and automation.

Olufuye is a recipient of the United Nations Youth Ambassador Award for Peace in 2007. He was inducted into the Fellowships of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) in 2003, the Institute of Chartered Management Auditors in 2004, and the Association of Information Management Professionals in 2024. He has been a member of the Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA), USA since 2014.

He is a graduate of Applied Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Lagos in 1988 where he was awarded the Vice-Chancellor’s Prize, and the College/Faculty prize for the best all-round performance. He was also awarded FULL COLOURS for outstanding performance in Chess. He obtained a Master of Technology degree in Maths/Computer Science from the Federal University of Technology, Minna in 2000. In 2007, he was awarded a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Strategic Management) by the Irish University Business School, Dublin. He attended the Haggai Institute for Advanced Leadership Management in Hawaii, USA in 2007.

Olufuye is a PRINCE2 certified Project Management Professional, a Certified Information System Auditor (CISA), a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and a Certified Risk & Information System Control (CRISC) professional.
