If you are not able to attend the Tenth IGF meeting in João Pessoa, Brazil, you can follow it remotely! Remote participation, and specifically the hubs structure, has been successful in previous IGFs. This time again you can follow the discussions from home or office; watch the webcast of the event; follow real-time closed captioning ; and participate live. Or you can also expand the discussions and organize an IGF hub in your city!
Remote participants/hubs will be able to interact with the meeting by sending text questions and/or video/audio interventions using the remote participation platform. These questions will be forwarded to the panel moderator when s/he opens the floor for questions from the audience.
For more details on how to organize a Hub and/or register your hub check the Hub instructions. Several training sessions for Remote Panelists and Remote Hubs have been held.
All main sessions, workshops, dynamic coalitions, open forums and best practice forums will have webcast, captioning and remote participation. Some of these facilities might also be available for other types of sessions and some workshop organizers may ask for some sessions not to have remote participation. Please contact the IGF Secretariat for details.
Remote participants/hubs should take a look at the IGF schedule on the home page to see the room and the time of the sessions they would like to follow.
The links to access each meeting room will be provided one day before the IGF.
