Biography
Consultant and academic working on ICTs and the Internet, in particular their relationship with development, rights and the environment. Author of studies of WSIS; mapping of Internet governance; use of mobile telephony and the Internet in developing countries; many other ICT and Internet-related issues. Work as consultant for international organisations, development agencies, governments, civil society and private sector. Visiting senior fellow, Dept of Media and Communications at London School of Economics; visiting professor at Strathclyde University. Participated in all IGF meetings to date in dual stakeholder capacity, as both civil society (academic and research work for civil society organisations) and private sector (consultant).
